They are already the world’s leading cloud–based point-of-sale software solution (SaaS) for dry cleaners and were nominated in the Best SaaS Product for Small Business category for The SaaS Awards 2019.

The London-based company, founded in 2014 by serial entrepreneurs John Buni and David Griffith-Jones, provides dry cleaners with the digital infrastructure needed to streamline their processes, to more effectively manage their sales, and ultimately to better service their customers.

Its users are predominantly small, independent and family-run businesses. The tools and online reach provided by CleanCloud allow smaller operators to compete with the industry giants, including well-funded on-demand disruptors with significant marketing budgets and, often, highly developed infrastructure.

How Did We Work Together?

  • Worked with the founders to obtain EIS advance assurance
  • Liaised with the company’s solicitors with regards to allotment of share capital
  • Dealt with EIS investment round, associated compliance and production of investor certificates
  • Assisted with business valuation to support EMI Option scheme for key staff. Agreed the valuation with HMRC and supported solicitor with creation of option contracts. Submissions made to HMRC and ongoing Employment Related Securities compliance
  • R & D claim: helped guide the founders to ensure its R & D tax credit claim was maximised and ultimately produced a suitable report and memo for HMRC
  • Supported the directors through an external investment round
  • Personal tax services for founders including profit extraction and capital tax planning ensuring entitlement to Entrepreneur’s Relief
  • Company compliance services including accounts, tax and payroll
